Einladung zum Vorbereitungstreffen für das anarchistische Sommercamp 2016

im Amerlinghaus (Stiftg. 8, 1070 Wien)
Vor beinahe 10 Jahren fand das erste anarchistische Sommercamp in Österreich statt. Nach einer längeren Pause glauben wir, dass die Zeit wieder reif ist um ein neues Camp zu organisieren. Noch sind wir nur eine kleine Gruppe aus Wien und wollen daher auf einem ersten Treffen am den 31. Oktober nachfühlen wie viel Interesse besteht. Es wird explizit kein Organisationstreffen sein. Alle die prinzipiell Interesse am A-Camp haben, sind dieses Mal eingeladen vorbeizuschauen.
Anfangs hat das A-Camp zu einer starken Vernetzung und inhaltlichen Auseinandersetzung geführt. Es gab spürbare Impulse für die anarchistische Bewegung. Doch mit den jährlichen Wiederholungen ließ die anfängliche Euphorie nach. Das A-Camp blieb zwar eine nette Erholung im Sommer, was auch so gedacht war, doch die (anti-)politische Bedeutung des Camps verflog kontinuierlich bis schließlich keines mehr organisiert wurde. Inzwischen hat sich aber viel in getan. Die Themenfelder und gesellschaftlichen Auseinandersetzungen haben sich über die Zeit vielfach verschoben und weiterentwickelt. Der Raum, den einA-Camp für Vernetzung und Debatten öffnet, könnte daher wieder sinnvoll sein.
Der Neustart soll auch dazu genutzt werden, aus den vergangenen Camps zu lernen und das Konzept weiterzuentwickeln. So wollen wir dieses Mal überlegen in welcher Form fixe Unterstützungsstrukturen für sexistische oder rassistische Übergriffe geschaffen werden können. Ebenfalls wollen wir uns mehr auf das inhaltliche Programm konzentrieren. So wie schon bei den früheren A-Camps, kann jedeR Programmpunkte anbieten, aber wir wollen gezielter dazu einladen und versuchen diese so weit wie möglich schon im Vorfeld anzukündigen. Das Treffen am 31.Oktober soll vor allem auch dazu dienen gemeinsam zu überlegen, welche weiteren Aspekte und Veränderungen gewünscht werden. Natürlich sind wir auch auf der Suche nach Leuten, die mehr oder weniger intensiv bei der logistischen Vorbereitung und Bekanntmachung des Camps mitmachen wollen um mit der eigentlichen Organisationsarbeit beginnen zu können.

Invitation to a preparatory metting of an anarchist summer camp 2016

At the Amerlinghaus (Stiftgasse 8, 1070 Vienna)
The first anarchist summer camp in Austria took place almost ten years ago. We think that after a longer break, the time is ripe to organize a new camp. At the moment, we are still a small group from Vienna and we want to explore at a first meeting how much interest there is. It will not be an organizing meeting. Everyone interested in the A-Camp is warmly invited to join in.
In its first years, the A-Camp gave a significant push to the local anarchist movement. It gave rise to a lot of networking and substantive dialogue. However, after a few years the initial euphoria subsided. The A-Camp stayed a nice recreation in summer, which it was also intended to be. At the same time, the (anti-) political significance of the camp was increasingly lost until no camp was any longer organized.
However, a lot has happened in the past years. Emancipatory themes and social struggles have shifted and developed. We hence think that the A-Camp as a space for networking and debates would is needed again.
We also want to use the relaunch in order to learn from the past camps and to further develop the concept. For one thing, we want to think this time about how we can develop fixed support structures for sexist and racist assaults. Further, we want to concentrate more on the camp’s program. As in the past camps, everyone will be able to organize and conduct program activities, but we also want to plan more ahead in order to be able to offer an attractive program that is announced in advance.
We want to use the meeting on October 31 above all to explore together how we would like the camp to be. Of course, we’re also looking for people who want to participate (to a larger or lesser extent) with the logistical preparations and announcement of the camp, so that we can start with the proper organizing.
