MEKONGG mekongg started out as a solo lo-fi noise/acoustic project by Pete Prison IV in early 2013 (former mekongg delta). The project was about to retire only after a few gigs, but in fall 2014 a mysterious coincidence led to an encounter of Pete Prison and Mack The Knife and shortly after Ben Jammin rounded up the gang. The rebirth of mekongg! Since then the viennese trio has been creating dEEP $HiT: bleak & noisy guitar tunes, smashing basslines, demanding grooves, fragile vocals - something between graveyard and disco. If you really have to put a label onto Mekongg’s sound, just call it: post-surfkraut-rock-prog-noise-stoner-doom-jazz!
