Klimakamp SCNCC

Dieses Jahr findet das 1. österreicherische Klimacamp Ende September in Österreich in der Umgebung Wiens statt. Wir wollen damit außerdem der Klimagerechtigkeits-Bewegung Möglichkeiten zur Vernetzung und Weiterentwicklung bieten. Das Camp bietet Raum, um zusammen zu kommen, Ideen auszutauschen, kreative Aktionen zu planen und gemeinsam Strategien für die sozial-ökologische Transformation zu entwicklen. Geplant sind Workshops (theoretische und praktische) und Vorträge, Musik und Aktionsplanung – und alle können und sollen mitgestalten. Juhuu, dieses Jahr wird es das 1. österreicherische Klimacamp in der Nähe von Wien stattfinden!

“System Change, not Climate Change” tritt gegen einen Ausbau des Flughafens in Wien-Schwechat ein (Warum? Mehr dazu: http://systemchange-not-climatechange.at/positionspapier-stopp-3-piste). Wir fordern eine zukunftsweisende Mobilität und wollen die Zunahme des klimaschädlichen Flugverkehrs zum Thema machen.

In diesem Kontext findet Ende September auch das erste Klimacamp in Österreich in der Umgebung Wiens statt. Wir wollen damit außerdem der Klimagerechtigkeits-Bewegung Möglichkeiten zur Vernetzung und Weiterentwicklung bieten. Save the date: First Austrian climate camp from 29.9. to 2.10.!

End of September the first Austrian climate camp takes place. We want to provide a place for the climate justice movement to connect, network and develop ideas. The camp is an opportunity to get together, exchange ideas, collect information, plan creative actions and develop strategies for a social-economic transformation. The program will comprise workshops, talks, music, and action planning – most of it should be self-organized: Everyone can and should actively contribute.

Come to the climate camp and get active for climate justice and sustainable mobility.

Why in the end of September? The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) wants to introduce a concept of “carbon neutral growth” for the air traffic. Therefore more details will be discussed in the next ICAO general assembly on the 27th of September this year in Montreal, Canada. System Change not Climate Change (SCNCC) wants as minimum 40 other organizations to arise attention to the events in Montreal on this date. Furthermore SCNCC wants to set a sign against the third runway of the Vienna airport. The System Change not Climate Change position paper in German can be found here.
