The three brothers Fridoon, Jalal and Fardin used to work as film artists and producers in Afghanistan where their family was running a liberal and progressive TV channel criticizing violence, social injustice and gender inequalities in the Afghan society also showing political satire about the Afghan government, police and Taliban.

A year ago, Fridoon Joinda came with his brothers Fardin, and Jalal in a rubber dinghy to Europe.

Trapped on the Greek island Lesvos in the barbed wired camp Moria for a year, the three Afghan television artists continue their political work. Under the highly precarious conditions on the island, they made impressive short movies about the situation of refugees on Lesvos with borrowed equipment:
