Offenes Treffen, 30. Mai, 19:00

Das que[e]r ist schon seit langem ein fixer Bestandteil der linken Szene in Wien. Jeden Mittwoch entsteht in der W23 ein Raum für Diskussionen, Vorträge, zum solidarischen Streiten am Podium oder einfach zum gemütlichen Quatschen und Essen an der Bar. Aus verschiedensten Gründen steht die Zukunft des que[e]rs momentan zwar nicht in den Sternen, aber leider doch im Ungewissen. Es mangelt hierbei weniger an der Motivation der Einzelnen, denn an ausreichend Leuten, das Geschehen gemeinsam am Laufen zu halten.

Vielleicht bietet diese Situation aber auch die Möglichkeit das que[e]r und seiner Struktur neu zu denken. Nicht zuletzt, da angesichts der momentanen gesellschaftlichen Situation das Weiterbestehen von autonomen und queer-feministischen Orten wie dem que[e]r (und der W23 als ganzes) umso wichtiger ist.

Als Teil der W23 möchten wir den Raum auch für andere Gruppen und Initiativen eröffnen. Im que[e]r muss außerdem nichts konsumiert werden. Diese Strukturen wollen wir auch in Zukunft erhalten , dabei aber auch Platz für Veränderung lassen. Alle Neugierigen laden wir darum zum Treffen am 30. Mai um 19 Uhr in der W23 ein. Komm vorbei, es gibt viele Arten sich einzubringen: Vom gemeinsamen Kochen, über den Bardienst, bis zur Programmplanung!

Open meeting, 30th May, 7pm

The que[e]r has been an integral part of the left scene for a long time. Every Wednesday the W23 is transformed into a space for intriguing lectures, solidary debate and relaxed conversations. As part of the W23 we also open the space for other groups and initiatives.

For various reasons the future of the que[e]r is rather uncertain at the present moment. The current matter is not a lack of motivation, but rather of enough people participating to keep everything going smoothly.

On the other hand, this also might be an opportunity to rethink the que[e]r and its structures and open it up not only for new people but also ideas. Especially in the face of the current social circumstances the existence of autonomous queer-feminist places like the que[e]r (and the W23 as a whole) is all the more important.

Everybody who is curious about the possible future of the que[e]r is invited to the meeting on May 30th at 7 p.m. in the W23. Come by, there are many opportunities to participate like cooking together, bartending or the monthly programming!

PS: There will be food and after the meeting drinks from the bar.
