Perspektiven auf ein Europa jenseits von Angst und Abschottung

Im Rahmen der Podiumsdiskussion werden wir mit den Diskutant*innen einen Blick auf die desaströsen Konsequenzen der EU-Abschottungspolitik werfen und gemeinsam über konkrete Schritte in Richtung eines Europas der Solidarität diskutieren. Dafür vereinen wir an diesem Abend auf dem Podium die Perspektiven der praktischen Unterstützung und Seenotrettung an Europas Grenzen (Tamino Böhm, Sea-Watch), der Selbstorganisation von Geflüchteten (Dora Sandrine Ndedi, Chefredakteurin Stimme Magazin), Handlungsansätzen auf der Ebene des Städtischen (Janika Kuge und Manuela Zechner, Aktivistinnen und Forscherinnen im Bereich Recht auf Stadt aus Freiburg und Barcelona) sowie der Transformationsperspektiven auf institutioneller Ebene (Lisa Mittendrein, attac Österreich).

In this panel discussion we will look at the disastrous consequences of EU’s containment policy and will explore and discuss steps towards a solidarity-based Europe. For this we assemble the perspectives of practical support and rescue missions at Europe’s borders (Tamino Böhm, Sea-Watch), of refugee self organisation (Dora Sandrine Ndedi, chief editor of Stimme Magazin), of action approaches at the urban scale(Janika Kuge and Manuela Zechner, activists and researchers in the field of right to the city from Freiburg and Barcelona)and of transformational pathways at the institutional level (Lisa Mittendrein, attac Austria). The discussion is held in German, translation to English and, if possible, to other languages will be provided.
