Kick-Off Event Organizing Team - Degrowth Konferenz 2020

We as the degrowth community have some pretty good ideas of what we would want a degrowth-world to look like. What we often lack, however, is an understanding and a strategy of how to get there, considering the growth-orientated world we live in today.

We want to encourage students, academics, activists, artists and friends to join us in organizing the “strategies for a degrowth transformation” conference, which will take place in May 2020 in Vienna.

The following working groups are looking for support:

• Food • Finance • Location • Cultural Program • Participant Coordination • Accommodation • Communication / PR

As you can see we need plenty of help and are looking forward to welcoming many new faces to our team. The world we are working towards is based on solidarity, respect and equality. Hence we strive to implement a non-hierarchical working culture within our organizational team. We want to look out for each other and create an open and welcoming environment for creativity, alternative ideas and change.
