Carnival of Solidarity feat. Prosfygika

We are still here … The Community remains strong and united … Prosfygika will win!!!! On 8th December 2022, we invite you for a soli-event with Prosfygika Squat. The event will start with an info input by Zwangsräumungen verhindern Wien (anti-eviction group in Vienna) and will continue with delicious cakes and glühwein. Start is 19.00h /7pm at EKH Wielandgasse 2/4, 1100. There will be also soli t-shirts available during the event. The donations will be used for the court expenses. The Community of Prosfygika is a communal body for everyday life and political struggle with 400 residents. The community is located at the squatted historical social housing complex in the middle of Athens since 2010. Through their structures: women’s café, children’s house and self-education structure, the collective bakery, the social center, health structure, food logistics, and social kitchen, the community actively struggles against the state and capitalist systems on the everyday life level. Since 2016, the building is under high repression because of the gentrification process. There are regular attacks against the community by police and fascists. On 22.11.2022, there was a heavy attack by many different police forces and the cops broke into the building. The community resisted and 79 comrades were under custody. The courts are still going on to criminalize the community.

We invite all of our friends to show solidarity, to break the isolation and marginalization of the community,and to defend the self-organized life beyond the capitalist and state system. Any attempt to destroy a self-organized structure is an attempt against all of our struggles for an ecologist, anti-sexist, anti-racist and anti-capitalist society.

Wir sind immer noch hier … Die Gemeinschaft bleibt stark und vereint … Prosfygika wird gewinnen!!!! Am 8. Dezember 2022 laden wir zu einem Soli-Event für die Prosfygika Squat ein. Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit einem Info-Input von Zwangsräumungen Verhindern Wien und wird mit köstlichen Kuchen und Glühwein fortgesetzt. Start ist um 19.00 Uhr im EKH Wielandgasse 2/4, 1100. Während der Veranstaltung werden auch Soli-T-Shirts erhältlich sein. Die Spenden des Abends werden genutzt für anstehende Gerichtskosten der Community. Die Prosfygika Community ist eine Alltags- und politische Kampfgemeinschaft mit um die 400 Bewohner*Innen. Die Gemeinschaft befindet sich seit 2010 in einem besetzten historischen Sozialwohnungskomplex mitten in Athen. Mit ihren Strukturen wie dem: Frauencafé, dem Kinderhaus und der Selbsterziehungsstruktur, der kollektiven Bäckerei, dem Sozialzentrum, der Gesundheitsstruktur, der Lebensmittellogistik und der Sozialküche kämpft die Gemeinschaft aktiv gegen den Staat und die kapitalistischen Systeme auf der Ebene des täglichen Lebens. Seit 2016 ist das Gebäude aufgrund des Gentrifizierungsprozesses starken Repressionen ausgesetzt. Es kommt regelmäßig zu Angriffen gegen die Gemeinschaft durch Polizei und Faschisten. Am 22.11.2022 kam es zu einem schweren Angriff durch viele verschiedene Polizeikräfte und die Bullen brachen in das Gebäude ein. Die Gemeinschaft hat sich gewehrt und 79 Genossen wurden in Gewahrsam genommen. Die Gerichte sind immer noch dabei, die Gemeinschaft zu kriminalisieren.

Wir laden alle unsere Freund*innen ein, Solidarität zu zeigen, die Isolation und Marginalisierung der Gemeinschaft zu durchbrechen und das selbstorganisierte Leben jenseits des kapitalistischen und staatlichen Systems zu verteidigen. Jeder Versuch, eine selbstorganisierte Struktur zu zerstören, ist ein Versuch gegen all unsere Kämpfe für eine ökologische, anti-sexistische, anti-rassistische und anti-kapitalistische Gesellschaft.
