Join us for an urgent and impactful night of solidarity, resistance, and joy at the Limity jsme my beneficial party! 🎉 Our legal team is facing a critical moment, handling the most lawsuits in its history, and we need your support to continue the fight for our planet. Why It Matters: Our planet is facing unprecedented challenges, and the Czech climate justice movement is at the regional forefront of the fight. Recently, our legal team has been confronted with an unprecedented number of lawsuits, most notably in response to the Bílina mine blockade during the climate camp action days in 2018. The coal company Severočeské doly has since sued 90 individuals for lost profits, with the court recently ordering 83 people to pay substantial amounts. In the face of this legal onslaught, our legal team is tirelessly fighting for justice, but we need your help to cover the legal costs. The coal industry, boosted by record profits last year, is not giving up. Their lawsuits are not just about money; they aim to intimidate and discourage climate activists.
