Micaela Trombini (Arg) is an Argentine sound artist and educator known for her innovative approach. Her live performances are hybrids, incorporating living systems and biomaterials to produce unique sounds. Drawing from her extensive experience in live coding techniques and experimental algorithmic noise, she crafts her own instruments and sound interfaces from code. This method allows her a heightened level of improvisational freedom during her live sets.

She generates pseudo-random sound sculptures while dialoguing with the machine through code. The boundaries of this sonic realm are defined by her language and that of the software, turning the performance into an experimental and improvisational journey.

By employing the live coding technique, she crafts and adjusts algorithms in real-time, resulting in the creation of sounds and noise.

Live coding refers to the creation and modification of algorithms for a creative purpose in real-time, often in the presence of a physical or virtual audience. The community is diverse and seeks to engage in a wide range of artistic practices including, among others, music, audiovisual creation, performance, robotics, dance, scientific research, and education.

LISK - JANJE - SCHNEIDER Tracy Lisk is a percussionist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Lisk’s history as a painter informs the substance of her improvisationswhich contain references to rhythmic structures while maintaining a fluid, suspended continuity. She has lead percussion ensembles, and regularly tours as a drummer in the US and Europe. She has collaborated with William Parker, saxophonist Gary Hassay, Andrea Pensado (electronics/voice), Mia Zabelka (AU), Maggie Nicols, Ernesto Rodrigues (PT), dancer Ryuzo Fukuhara (JP, SI), among others. Boris Janje is a double bassist from Zagreb, Croatia, living and working in Ljubljana, Slovenia. For years, he has been researching, performing, composing and expanding the sonic and musical possibilities of his instrument, building individualized musical vocabulary with the use of standard and extended playing techniques mainly in the field of non-idiomatic improvisation with a particular focus in sound, drawn to the idea of erasing borders between genres and styles and leaving aside structures and forms. Through the years, he played and collaborated with numerous local and foreign musicians, dancers ,poets and other artists. Markus W. Schneider is a guitarist, composer, improviser, and producer from Vienna who works primarily in experimental music, with influences from pop and jazz. He challenges the traditional role of the electric guitar by exploring alternative playing techniques, electronics, and recontextualizing established repertoires and clichés. His solo projects showcase this approach: “Fragile Findings” delves into electroacoustic improvisations, “Ghosts in my Pocket” explores acoustic guitar music, and “Widerspruch” is a deconstructive song cycle that pushes the boundaries of traditional song formats. Schneider is a key member of several collaborative projects. He is one half of the Art Pop duo 264 HOURS OF SLEEP with Christina Ruf, part of the improvisation duo Gnigler/Schneider, and a member of the experimental pop band GLAM (with Gloria Amesbauer and Aras Seyhan). He also plays in Lukas Aichinger’s jazz sextet AHL6, the noise band Ferro Taylor, the multimedia group Monza Blitz, and the band B. Fleischmann.
