💥 Hintergrund der Party: Der Rechtsruck schreitet voran. Die Razzia am Peršmanhof ist nur das jüngste Beispiel für die zunehmende Kriminalisierung von Antifaschismus. In Graz sind gerade sieben Antifas (die Graz 7 - G7) von massiven Repressionen betroffen. Seit Ende Jänner finden massiv überzogene Ermittlungen gegen sieben Antifaschist:innen statt, denen vorgeworfen wird, am Rande des deutschnationalen und FPÖ-nahen Akademikerballs einem Burschenschafter die Kappe geklaut zu haben. Seit einigen Wochen ermitteln nun der Verfassungsschutz und die Staatsanwaltschaft Graz aufgrund des Vorwurfs des „Schweren Raubes“ nach Paragraph § 143 StGB. Dieser Paragraph wird sonst bei bewaffneten Raubüberfällen oder in Kontexten der organisierten Kriminalität verwendet - bei Verurteilung drohen den Beschuldigten zwischen 5 und 15 Jahren Haft. Die Repressionsmaßnahmen sind völlig überzogen und politisch motiviert - Antifaschist:innen werden verfolgt und eingeschüchtert.

💥 Background: The shift to the right is advancing. The raid at Peršmanhof is just the latest example of the increasing criminalization of anti-fascism. In Graz, seven antifascists (the Graz 7 – G7) are currently facing severe repression. Since the end of January, grossly excessive investigations have been underway against seven antifascists who are accused of having stolen a fraternity (“Burschenschafter”) member’s cap on the sidelines of the German-nationalist and FPÖ-affiliated “Academic Ball”. For several weeks now, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Graz public prosecutor’s office have been investigating on the charge of “aggravated robbery” under Paragraph §143 of the Criminal Code. This paragraph is normally applied in cases of armed robbery or organized crime – if convicted, the accused face between 5 and 15 years in prison. These repressive measures are completely disproportionate and politically motivated – antifascists are being persecuted and intimidated.
