Touchdesigner workshops

An Introduction to TouchDesigner: how to combine music and light__ It is an highly practical laboratory based on DasLOT light system that will give you the possibility to learn the basic use of Touchdesigner and do some try-outs using the professional set up of the venue.

What you will learn: The workshop has a practical approach and is structured into two 4-hour sessions (8 hours total):

DAY 1 - Introduction to multimedia art and its tools, algorithmic and interactive approach through case studies. - Basics of TouchDesigner. - Collective Hands-on: Group development of a mini-project applying the day’s topics.

DAY 2 - How to build audio-reactive algorithms. - Collective Hands-on: Building audio-reactive patches for light animations and light design. - Introduction practical application of MediaPipe.

Who it is for and requirements: This is an entry-level workshop, no advanced prior knowledge is required! :) All hands-on moments are designed to be collective, meaning the entire group will work together on different tasks and create some projects that will be desplayed on a performance on the 20th of June. What to bring: Participants are required to bring their own laptop. We will soon provide a list of software and extensions to install prior to the workshop.
