After our summer break we’re back with no. 8 of our queer swing social! This time we’ll be hosting Félix Nordino Chibuane as mozambique dance instructor and photographer. Here a little bit about him: He is travelling across Europe with the mission of photographing swing dance events and, at the same time, sharing the richness of Mozambican culture through traditional Mozambican dance and songs.

Among the cultural expressions presented will be Xigubo, a traditional Mozambican dance historically associated with the war period. Xigubo is characterized by strong and striking movements, symbolizing courage, resistance, and cultural identity.

And who is hosting us? Mala Zêrîn: A house for all of us in the 15. district with around 1200 m² of space. Carried by communities that connect about social justice, feminism, climate justice, anti-fascism and internationalism. Here people come together to work, dance, learn (languages) and much more.

As always we’re happy about your donations (suggestion: 10€) so we can keep organizing this event while paying the teachers and hosting space.
